Listening, Loving, Acting Together

Our Mission:

To create purposeful and productive community connections.

Our Method:

Using MNV Listening Cards and a Facilitated format, we provide a safe and hospitable space in which everyone is invited to share their personal stories, thoughts, and opinions about how to best live together. It’s through deeply listening that we deeply connect, and when we are connected, we are resilient.

How It Works:

My Neighbor’s Voice uses a deck of Listening Cards to guide each session. These universal community questions cover different categories: Hello Neighbor, Political Thought, Our Society, Environment and Health, Civic Rights and Responsibilities, American Culture, Sacred Thought, Our World, and Home and Hearth. In our gatherings, each participant gets a question and then has up to three minutes to share their perspective on the topic. As each person answers their question, no one is allowed to respond, comment, or interrupt. When the time is up, the next person gets a new question and the process repeats. A facilitator will keep the time.

Whether these questions are used with a friend over coffee or in a meeting with strangers, the purpose of My Neighbor's Voice is to simply allow our neighbors to share their stories and for us to hear them with generosity. With participants having the freedom to speak openly about the things that matter most, we can all discover deep truths in one another’s perspectives. Through these intentional gatherings, we can address community issues with hope and a productive way forward.

My Neighbor’s Voice invites you to share your stories and perspectives. Join us for community conversations that will give you hope.
